Charitable contributions play a vital role in shaping our society. They provide relief and aid to people who need it the most. Many organizations and individuals do their part to create a philanthropic environment in the country. In this regard, Bottleless Nation Charitable Foundation (BNCF) stands tall with its commitment to making the world a better place. Our foundation has recently announced its charity partners for 2024, and we are thrilled to share the news with you. BNCF has teamed up with Keep America Beautiful® and charity: water to bring more good to the world by keeping it clean and ensuring people have access to clean drinking water. Let’s see where our donations went.

Keep America Beautiful

Keep America Beautiful® is an organization dedicated to enhancing the beauty of America’s communities. It was founded in 1953 and has since then been working tirelessly to bring positive change across the country. The organization has a strong focus on waste reduction, recycling, and litter prevention. Keep America Beautiful is responsible for several impactful programs, including The Great American Cleanup, and America Recycles Day. BNCF is excited to partner with Keep America Beautiful to support their programs and outreach efforts in 2024. BNCF’s $23.5K contribution will go a long way in helping the organization make the country a cleaner and more beautiful place to live.

charity: water

Our second charitable partnership for 2024 is charity: water, an organization committed to providing clean water to people in need. Founded in 2006 by Scott Harrison, charity: water has been making a significant impact on the lives of millions of people around the world. Access to clean water is a fundamental human right, and charity: water works hard to ensure that people have access to it. The organization is known for its transparency and accountability in the work it does, making this organization an easy alignment with BNCF and our mission to support causes that serve water-insecure communities around the US and abroad.

For 2024, BNCF donated $40K to charity water, of which 100 percent will go into funding a water well project in Mozambique. Home to more than 3.1 million people, Mozambique is ranked 185 out of 191 countries on the 2022 Human Development Index with over 64% of the population living below the income poverty line. Because of natural disasters and extreme weather patterns, only 49% of Mozambique’s rural population has access to basic water services, with some walking an average of 30 minutes just to find a functioning water point.

Thanks to the donations made by BNCF and its affiliate partners (Pure Water Partners, Office H2O, and Artesian Bottleless Water), funds will go towards two new hand pumps that will be installed in the Nampula province—the most populous of Mozambique’s 10 provinces. Working alongside World Vision Mozambique, charity: water has the goal to help the Monapo District in Nampula achieve full water access coverage, something this group has already achieved in the Nacarôa District.

Throughout the process, BNCF and its affiliate partners will receive regular updates on the progress of the well. We hope to share those with you in the coming months.

How BNCF Raised Funds

BNCF owes its ability to donate to charity partners to generous contributions from several sources. A significant portion of the funds came from Office H2O and Artesian Bottleless Water, two Bottleless Nation companies making a difference in the world by promoting bottleless water coolers and ice machines across the United States. A portion of install fees from clients contributed to the donation pool, with Office H2O and Artesian donating $17,100 and $29,980, respectively. This means if your business has a bottleless water cooler with an Office H2O or Artesian sticker, you’ve helped make these charitable donations possible — And for that, we thank you!

In addition to these direct contributions, Pure Water Partners, our billing partners, played a substantial role in our fundraising efforts. They channeled a portion of the late fees they collected into the BNCF fund, resulting in a generous donation of $16,513.

This combined effort mirrors the shared commitment to making a difference in the world. Their contributions have enabled BNCF to support and uplift communities, affirming our belief that every small act of kindness can make a significant impact on someone’s life.
